The Kingdom of Vanostritus was a powerhouse that contained several states that were largely governed by a representative of the King. Before the destruction of the land began, Vanostritus had 10 duchy states in total and a few smaller states, ranked below duchy, under the rule of King Karlisle Magna-Ördillia. However, due to the nature of Vanostritus’ region having its own limited autonomy, the states are ruled by one representative of King Karlisle with their own titles, in accordance to their type of states. With the apocalypse descending, out of 10 duchy states, only two remain. Other smaller states were obliterated by the devastating attack and what is left of them are mostly ruins of their former glory.

The Palace of Fimbulvinter, the humble abode of the Duke of Argenivis and the base of Galantrie Aeterna.
(By Arthur Yuan from Artstation)

Led by Duke Morgaine Leofalis Theogrias, the grandson of King Karlisle Magna-Ördillia from his second child. Its name is a representation of its land, where winter’s grasp never left the air. Its atmosphere is always cold and breezy, generally, the area is covered with a light layer of snow and ice. The frozen temperature in the air proves to be fatal for unwary people. They also have a hard time growing crops that are incapable of growing in a cold environment. The capital city of Argenivis is Myosvertis, where a palace of silver and blue sits in the middle of the city. The Palace of Fimbulvinter is the humble abode of Duke Theogrias, as well as the base for Galantrie Aeterna, the Duke’s personal troops. Before the fall, Argenivis is where the army is situated. However, all that remains is their past glory, with some deciding to stay in Argenivis, serving as Duke Theogrias’ paladins. Argenivis is currently the safest region as Duke Theogrias has the Sword of Everlasting Blight in his hand.

Depiction of Thróno Pesménon Fýllon, the Throne of Fallen Leaves. Used to belong to the Viscountess of Magnauctum.
(By Pang P from Artstation)

Formerly led by Viscountess Francine Blanche Maverwick. The Viscountess, consumed by fear, had committed suicide by burning herself, alongside the fortress. It is now a ghost town, left empty by its population who migrates to somewhere else safer after the incident they refer to as a royal absurdity. Magnauctum is considerably warmer than Argenivis and has access to a better irrigation system due to an artificial lake created by the previous Viscountess. The capital city of Magnauctum is Ardotalia and unfortunately, what is left in the city is burnt remains of once a magnificent fortress referred to as the Throne of Fallen Leaves (Thróno Pesménon Fýllon). Aside from the destruction that keeps haunting Ardotalia, bandits tend to occupy the former fortress, though usually they target travelling merchants and are very unlikely for them to get close to Argenivis due to Galantrie Aeterna’s watchful eyes.

(By Pengzhen Zhang from Artstation)

Led by Duke Hugo von Rossum, the grandson of King Karlisle Magna-Ördillia from his third child. Novaestiva has been blessed by the sun with its all-around warmth. It can be a little bit hotter and dry in the summer. Though similar to Bellvernus, they are capable of growing crops and tea due to their fertile soil, however, after the catastrophe hitting the Kingdom hard, it is difficult for them to maintain their dwindling resource after a lot of failed attempts. The capital city of Novaestiva is Sommerbrise. The Duke’s castle, The Imperial Castle of Ringelblume, is situated in the northeastern part of the city where the land is a bit higher than the others. This is also the base for Caelus Phantasia, Duke Hugo's loyal knights in which he uses to keep the constant danger at bay. This territory is somewhat prone to being attacked by the mysterious creature due to the lack of protection granted by the Sword of Everlasting Blight and the temple that sits in the territory of Novaestiva Duchy.

The view of the Lacrimavis region of Ensiagreste.
(By Vadim Sadovsk from Artstation)

The March of Ensiagreste is a special land in which it is under the rule of both The Duchy of Argenivis and The Duchy of Novaestiva as a way for them to respect each other's boundary. Allegedly, there are no people living permanently in Ensiagreste due to the wild animals that live there. It was used by the citizens, whether it is from royalty or not, to traverse between the two Duchy states. Hence, two regions in Ensiagreste, Lacrimavis and Lutresis, were usually occupied by travelling merchants and bards, as well as bandits and thieves, waiting to collect a fortune. Though, with the catastrophe hitting Vanostritus, the Ensiagreste is now a barren wasteland filled with tall trees and a vast lake, as well as dangerous creatures lurking at every corner of it.
